Newsletter – 18 th September 2017 Dear Parents, Good Morning, We have had a good start to the term and the children have been working very hard. This week the children will be having a few assessments so that I can track their progress over the year and so I can best support each child; where they are at. The children do not need to do any revision or extra work. Speaking English I have noticed that there are a number of children who are speaking Spanish in class. Despite being reminded several times - they are continuing to speak Spanish when they think I can´t hear them. It is those children who are struggling with their English reading and writing as they do not have the vocabulary they need to perform well in YR6. Please have a chat with your child about the importance of speaking English in school and hopefully, if we work together, this will improve. English In English this week we will be continuing with our book study – Goodnight Mister Tom. The children
